Finley 2018 Report
The usual suspects were at the Finley show grounds track early Saturday pacing around ready to get their tractors out on the track that was getting the finishing touches to what was too be a ripper of a track. Lots of traction and no dust was the result the only down side was it caused a couple of tractors to have directional issues and another to blow a diff. No engines got blown up this year but the potential was there as most motors were getting wrung out like a sponge to get them into their desired rev range this along with a warm day had all under pressure just like Barmed Blitza’s radiator cap who decided to take off. Stone Cold’s team had the lap top out tuning things in for the day, Barneys Animal was still trying to get the paint to bake on to his new motor and every time he came back to the pits the drivers smile was getting bigger (I don’t know wether he was enjoying things that much or it may have been the paint fumes making him happy). Movin on was back after some new rocker gear and top end bits were required after the Tooradin event. U Jack was having a better run this event as the transmission needed a blood transfusion and heart transplant after last event also. Rotary Hoe was out still trying to break the sound barrier along with Blown Income 2 and Stampede (still haven’t done it yet). Little Willey could have been confused for a Taxi as every time you saw it, it had a different driver. Feral Fergie was a consistent runner all event and if there was a prize for the shiniest red bonnet they would get it as the bonnet was shinier than a fire trucks.
The next event will be on the 3rd of March in Waaia Victoria we hope to see you there. If you would like to find out more about tractor pulling please contact us and you could even help at an event to see if you wanted to take the next step to purchasing a mini tractor as there are a couple for sale.
